The other day I decided to commit to some serious changes in my life. From taking action, I discovered — sometimes we are faced with questions we aren’t ready to have the answer for. Fear is going to be there right on the cusp of you making your life decisions. Only you get to decide how you want to react. When you can change the soundtrack of the thoughts looping in your head, you have a different way of seeing your decisions and present reality. Perhaps you’ll be able to connect how your thoughts were products of your own manifestation. Thus you have the power to change your life by shifting your thoughts — sometimes that direction is back to being more of you all the time. Back to who you know you are meant to be and what you are meant to be doing —— no one is going to have that answer for you.
Recently, having experienced such divine openness and connection, I’ve been having a hard time grounding myself into this reality. I’m a visually futuristic builder of many things. I find a lot of pleasure in creating, shifting, molding and morphing. It is part of what calls me to be an actor. It’s what drew me into retail and teaching yoga; building retail floors and crafting sequences. My two worlds have united well with this creation.
Starting this Spring we at YI are launching new ideas and innovative creations, as well as new partnerships! We are so excited to be growing in our ability to connect and learn with our partners in the process. It is starting to create some antsy energy in the work space and sometimes it feels as though tensions are just riding high because of the level of risk we are playing at. But I cannot be more happy to express as an individual, and as the company director, that there is nothing better than choosing to step into a situation and commit to simply being you. Authentically, natural you. Sunken into resistance and accepting of the path that will follow from disciplined action.
These past few months alone I was faced with a lot of major decisions and choices; I’m still finding my way on may of them, I took a little reassurance asking myself more often “what if it all worked out?”. Instead of “dreading what if I end up living my back up plan instead?” I then came across this new podcast, the first episode launched just recently but the new series filled with really intriguing and valuable motivations. Do It Scared by Ruth Soukup, is one of my new favorite jams to play when I’m trying to be productive in my work space. I invite you to listen in — the podcast is free on iTunes and going live each week with a new podcast. It reminded me that I could already be living a version of my back up plan and that wasn’t so bad so why not take the risk? “Courage means being sacred but taking action anyway” - Do It Scared Podcast.
I look forward to watching how change unfolds in this new season my life and this beautiful business. It’s going to be a joy to put together some new and radical ideas that will hopefully allow us all to be more in allowance of our own ability to shape and change the world. So in the spirit of keeping things moving, we bid you fare-well till next week. We will leave you with the belief that you can do anything but not everything. So if you feel like there is a part of your life you are meant to be balancing your energy into better —listen to the call! Get rooted in what you desire to truly be your everything and make it your anything. Then forget everything else. Forget and doubters and defenders that your decision is wrong. Choose to be you and step back into the body that allows you to be in allowance of other people’s judgments but not take them on as your own.
Try this more often, be you in any situation first before importing others judgments or opinions on your ability to communicate with other people. Essentially all of this comes back to trust. Not only is outward trust necessary for soul growth, but so is inner trust. See how you feel, standing your ground so firmly and so often. Then find a way to journal about it, maybe a week of your life, without editing your thoughts just go. Later come back to your journal and see what came up. Find what maybe you are returning to as a loop and change the soundtrack to see what’s on the other side of the courage table.
